About The Artist
Christine MacDonald was born on Tiree, a small Hebridean island off the west coast of Scotland. Before settling in Sonoma, California with her husband in 1986, she graduated from the University of Brighton, Sussex, England with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in Painting.
Statement
‘Painting, for me, is an ongoing search between the known and unknown, seen and unseen. Whether it is of a bird in flight, or a figure moving or focused in stillness, my hope is that there will be a moment when a spark of life occurs.’
